This is a two-story frame residence with wood corner and barge boards, eaveline brackets, front-facing gable roof, red-brick masonry rear ridgeline chimney, two-story cross-gable block on the north (side) elevation, slightly projecting two-story crossgable on the north (side) elevation, and a fullwidth one-story front porch. There is a onestory block with a hipped roof on the east (rear) elevation. Fenestration primarily consists of two-over-two double-hung sash, however, there are paired one-over-one double-hung sash in the gable ends. A one-story three-sided bay with bracketed shed roof can be found on the south (side) elevation. The front porch has a scroll-cut balustrade, turned supports, bracketed scroll-cut frieze, and a shed roof with bracketed cross gable over the entry. The building is primarily sheathed in horizontal board siding, however, patterned shingle details can be found in the gable ends and on the south bay window.

This house is architecturally significant as a well-preserved example of a Queen Anne style residence and it possesses many of the features that were typical of the highly decorative form, including eaveline brackets, shaped bargeboards, patterned shinglework, and highly detailed porch components. Built c. 1887, the house is visible on the 1908 Sanborn Map. By 1930, the residence was that of Susie E. Buell, a 67-year old widow.
